New BlueMedicare Preferred Plans to Include Flex Dollars

Florida Blue is introducing two new Medicare Advantage (MA) plans, effective January 1, 2024, that will include significant allowances for dental expenses as well as a flex benefit. The flex benefit supplements the dental allowance included in these MA plans. Both plans will be offered in select counties:

BlueMedicare Preferred will be available exclusively to members who reside in Hillsborough and Polk counties. It will offer a $1,000 flex benefit that supplements the $4,000 dental allowance included in the plan.

BlueMedicare Premier will be offered exclusively to members who reside in Lake, Marion, and Sumter counties. A $500 flex benefit will be included in this plan, in addition to a $3,500 dental allowance.  

Members must exhaust their dental allowance before they can use their flex benefit.
