An easy, convenient and affordable option for emergency dental care
Emergency rooms are not typically equipped to handle dental emergencies. If you have a serious and/or painful dental issue and you can’t contact your dentist, you now have 24/7 access to a licensed dentist near you—whether you’re close to home or anywhere in the U.S. You can also contact a TeleDentistry.com dentist if you:
- Have a dental emergency but don’t have a dentist
- Need to consult with a dentist without leaving your home
- Have a dental emergency while on vacation, on business or away from home
This valuable benefit can save you both time and money.
How to get started
- Visit teledentistry.com/florida-blue or call (866) 256-1871. You’ll need to provide your member ID number—you can find it on your dental ID card or in the Florida Blue mobile app (iOS, Android).
- Take photos of the problem area, if necessary.
- You’ll be connected to a TeleDentistry.com dentist and receive an emergency dental consultation.
If necessary, your virtual dentist will write prescriptions or refer you a participating dentist near you or your regular dentist for further care as needed.
*Limit two visits per calendar year. Virtual visits count toward your plan’s annual maximum. This service is not included for BlueDental Care prepaid plans.
