COVID-19 and Your Employees’ Dental Care

As dental offices have reopened around the country, we continue to work with all dentists in our networks to support the needs of our members during this challenging time.

Safe care at the dental office

Even before the COVID-19 pandemic, dentists were required to enforce strict hygiene practices. With COVID-19, additional safety precautions recommended by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) were put in place. We have partnered with our network dentists to offset the costs of personal protective equipment and sterilization/cleaning supplies so that they can continue to provide you and your employees with care in a safe environment.

Teledentisty benefit extended

We understand that some of your employees may not yet be comfortable returning to their dentist, so we’re extending our teledentistry benefit through September 30, 2020. This benefit provides your employees with virtual emergency dental assistance. All of our participating dentists are required to provide emergency services to patients, so your employees should contact their dentist if they have a dental emergency.

These services are included in all group plans (ASO groups must opt-in) and are offered at no cost to your employees when they visit an in-network dentist. We want to make sure that our members and their families continue to have access to essential dental care.

If you or your employees have any questions or concerns, please call 888-223-4892. Employees who don’t have a dentist can quickly find one through our online directory.
