COVID-19 and Your Employees’ Dental Care

During these uncertain times, we want you to know that your employees’ health remains our top priority. We’ve taken steps to make sure that members can continue to have access to essential dental care.

Safe care at the dental office

Even before the COVID-19 pandemic, dentists were required to enforce strict hygiene practices. With COVID-19, additional safety precautions recommended by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) were put in place. We have partnered with our network dentists to offset the costs of personal protective equipment and sterilization/cleaning supplies so that they can continue to provide you and your employees with care in a safe environment.

Teledentistry coverage: an added benefit during the COVID-19 pandemic

We understand that some of your employees may not yet be comfortable returning to their dentist, so we have added a teledentistry benefit that provides your employees with virtual emergency dental assistance. All of our participating dentists are required to provide emergency services to patients, so your employees should contact their dentist if they have a dental emergency.

These services are included in all group plans (ASO groups must opt-in) and are offered at no cost to your employees when they visit an in-network dentist. We want to make sure that our members and their families continue to have access to essential dental care.

If you or your employees have any questions or concerns, please call 888-223-4892. Employees who don’t have a dentist can quickly find one through our online directory.
